In 1994 I joined the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), where I completedmy doctorate in Linguistics in 2003.
I have taught a variety of courses to both undergraduate and graduate students at the Faculty of Philology (ULPGC).
I am currently a lecturer in English Phonetics and Phonology, English intonation and English morphology and syntax.
My main research interests are the teaching of pronunciation to non-native learners, phonology and second language acquisition, and the interface between prosody and pragmatic meaning.
