Our fields of knowledge are corpus linguistics, applied linguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and editing. We look at texts from a synchronic and diachronic perspective. The languages of research are English, French and Spanish.
Our research also includes manuscript studies and editorial work. We are equally committed to teaching, and part of our activity involves the analysis of teaching methods and proposals for improvement. The members collaborate in several PhD, Masters and Expert Programmes.
DiCoS’s members participate in PhD teaching in the framework of DOCTESO, an interuniversity doctoral programme. We offer guidance and supervision in language issues, and this includes empirical and theoretical research in linguistics, literature and the domain of translation studies. We are interested in language as a process and structure.
